Wrapping up our series and checking in. Things have changed with elearning and we discuss how being flexible as a parent is tough. Take time for self care and be realistic with your goals!

Part 2: In our last session we discussed "why" behavior occurs and looked at some response systems that can be used. We will be taking things one step further and discussing how to respond when things begin to escalate. Come learn about different levels of behavior and how to respond reasonably and proportionately.

Part 1- we are going to start to dive into how to give effective consequences and "consequence" systems you can pair with your incentive systems.

This week we discussed how to use positive reinforcement to build a positive learning environment and motivate your learner(s). We took at look at different examples and talked about "schedules of reinforcement," or how often you should be giving rewards. Building an incentive system and using positive reinforcement can reduce frustration and build positive learning skills over time.

Schedules & Routines We spent time discussing how to implement and teach effective schedules for your child(ren). Take a look at different examples of daily schedules with visual supports and learn how to help them feel successful with them. We also dove into breaking down the schedule further and teaching routines and parts of a routine. We can meet the learners needs by using clear and simple language, task breakdown, making successful transitions and learning to be flexible with change. Schedules and routines are the building blocks to success for any learner, these strategies will help them to access a successful learning environment.
